It's rather safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 won't be released this year, even knowing CD Projekt Red's "playful" nature (show us another major studio that releases a full hour of pure gameplay instead of a gameplay trailer). Since E3 2018, we've learned a lot about the RPG, but there's still one news every gamer would love to hear - the announcement of Cyberpunk 2077's official release date.
Sadly, we still have to wait for that, but Bilkom, a Turkish publisher, is here to help. According to Bilkom, Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for a release next year. The tweet posted on September 27th said “The Witcher serisinin yap?mc?s? Cd Projekt’in yeni oyunu Cyberpunk 2077 #BilkomGüvencesiyle 2019 y?l?nda Türkiye’de! #Bilkom #CDProjekt #Cyberpunk2077”, which reads in English “The producer of CD Projekt’s The Witcher series new game Cyberpunk 2077 #bilkom with assurance by 2019 in Turkey”.
The tweet has been deleted, seemingly confirming that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available in stores at some point in 2019. Bilkom is the official distributor for the biggest software and hardware companies in Turkey, including Apple and Asus, so there's a big chance they have some first-hand information when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077's release date. CD Projekt Red hasn't responded to the leak yet.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future — Night City. You play as V, a hired gun on the rise, who just got their first serious contract. In a world of cyberenhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers, today is your first step to becoming an urban legend. Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the same universe as Mike Pondsmith's classic pen & paper RPG system, Cyberpunk 2020.
Cyberpunk 2077's release date doesn't exist yet.
