After releasing a ton of gameplay footage, the excitement for the latest project from CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077, grew astronomically, and to further build off the hype, the developers recently answered a few lingering questions about the game.

Perhaps one of the biggest things to come out of the recent Q&A were some new details on what happens if a player fails a quest in Cyberpunk 2077.

"Yes, you can fail quests," game designer Philip Weber said. "What we don't have however is a game over state, the only game over that you will get is when you die. So when you fail a quest then it's now part of the story, you have to deal with the consequences."

In other words, your failures, along with your choices, will have an effect on CD Projekt Red's new RPG, something that will separate Cyberpunk 2077 from so many other games in this genre.

After all, in many other titles, players are typically able to restart a quest without having to worry about any negative consequences. Still, this element, coupled with the various story choices, should help give each player a unique gameplay experience.
