Cyberpunk 2077 had already garnered a ton of interest from gamers everywhere prior to this years E3 convention, but when CD Projekt Red officially announced Keanu Reeves (John Wick) would portray Johnny Silverhand, excitement for the game increased to new heights.
Now, according to TGCOM 24 journalist Gian Luca Rocco, who spoke with Luca Ward, the actor who will be dubbing Keanu Reeve's lines into Italian, we've learned that the Bill and Ted actor's role was initially much shorter.
Per Rocco, Ward revealed that he originally had only a few lines to record, but Reeve's reportedly loved the role of Silverhand so much that he asked to have his role expanded, a request CD Projekt Red were happy to oblige. As a result, Ward claims his hours in the recording studio have doubled.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently set to be launch on April 16, 2020 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. And while a Google Stadia release has been confirmed, no date has been set.
