The developers behind Cyberpunk 2077 recently revealed that failing quests in the game would have an effect on the game's story, and during that same Q&A CD Projekt Red revealed some other exciting details.
Specifically, game designer Philip Weber provided some more insight into how romances will work in the highly anticipated RPG, comparing this gameplay element to one of their previous projects.
"Romance options are very much treated like in the Witcher 3," Weber explained. "Aside from one night stands, we want the romances in the game to have well fleshed out characters and story behind them."
In all, it sounds like the developers want a variety of different romances in Cyberpunk 2077 that further add to the complexity and richness of the sci-fi world they've created.
The designer didn't reveal any other details on this particular gameplay mechanic, but considering how so many of the choices in the game can affect story outcomes, there's a good chance a player's romantic encounters - or lack of - will also have consequences.
