While we're pretty sure that CD Projekt Red's highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 game will feature an expansive open-world, and exact size hasn't been revealed just yet. The Polish game studio have been keeping their cards close to their chest on the topic, though have revealed previously that it will be larger than any of their previous titles - but how exactly remains to be seen.
An eager fan of CDPR recently reached out to the dev through Facebook wherein a social media representative explained that the size of Cyberpunk 2077's world is difficult to measure given that it isn't an open, flat space like previous open-world games. 2077 will feature expansive interior environments too - which bolster multiple levels - therefore those will need to be taken into account.
While the Redditor was striving for a comparison with CDPR's previous popular title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, that comparison is a little unbalanced seeing as Cyberpunk's mode of transportation will be the likes of cars whereas The Witcher's was horseback. All in all, calculating and comparing the size of Cyberpunk's world is a very finicky process - as the rep explains below:
What do you think about what the rep had to say on the size of Cyberpunk 2077's open-world? It seems that the game may not be too enormous in the typical sense, but will make up for it in innovative, new ways.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC - though it's release date is TBA.
