Darksiders III was released in November to rather mixed critical reception as the slasher reviewed best on PC with a Metacritic score of 73, with Xbox One just behind it at 69. Although the title didn't manage to live up to its predecessors (mostly the first game that still is the most beloved entry in the series almost 10 years after its launch), it did tease the future of the franchise and the arrival of Strife.
It looks like Gunfire Games might be already working on
Darksiders IV as the studio is hiring people to seemingly develop a brand new video game. Gunfire, which was founded by ex-Vigil Games employees, is currently looking for Senior Concept Artist, Character Artist, Senior Environment Artist, and Environment Artist that shipped an "AAA" title before and know how to use Epic's Unreal Engine 4.
Considering that Gunfire is also developing
Remnant: From the Ashes, a third-person survival action game that's coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC this year, there's a chance that the Austin-based studio hires more staff to finish that Perfect World Entertainment-published title. As a reminder, the long-rumored Nintendo Switch port of
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be released on April 2, 2019.
