In September of last year, Square Enix announced that a bundle that included the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII Remastered were being released for the Nintendo Switch later that year; this following the developer's announcement that a bunch of Final Fantasy titles would be re-released on current-gen platforms.

This convenient bundle was revealed to be Final Fantasy VII / Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Twin Pack, and that it was obviously getting a physical release, as both titles could already be purchased individually from the Nintendo Switch eShop; the caveat, however, was that Square Enix announced that this game would only be releasing in Asia.

Square Enix never confirmed whether the bundle would also be released here in the West, although many believed that it was only a matter of time until they finally did — and they were right, as the developer has just announced that Final Fantasy VII / Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Twin Pack will release in Europe on Wednesday the 9th of December.

For those of you interested in this upcoming bundle, Final Fantasy VII / Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Twin Pack will retail for €39.99, and pre-orders are actually already available via Square Enix's official website, which you can visit by clicking right here.

Unlike the Asian version of Final Fantasy VII / Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Twin Pack, both games are now localised, and will be playable in English, so even when the game hasn't been announced to get a North American release, players can still pre-order and play the games, since the Nintendo Switch isn't region locked.

The world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation that has monopolized the planet's very life force as Mako energy. In the urban megalopolis of Midgar, an anti-Shinra rebel group calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their campaign of resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the rebels, unaware that he will be drawn into an epic battle for the fate of the planet, while having to come to terms with his own lost past.

Final Fantasy VII is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam).

The Republic of Galbadia, under the influence of the sorceress Edea, mobilises its great armies against the other nations of the world. Squall and other members of SeeD, an elite mercenary force, join hands with Rinoa, a resistance fighter, to fight against Galbadia's tyrannical rule and to prevent Edea from fulfilling her ultimate goal.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam).
