Closing out a PAX East panel today, Square Enix teased a collaboration between Final Fantasy XV and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
IGN reports that a single image was shown at the end of the panel, teasing the exciting collaboration between the two popular franchises. Unfortunately, no other information was revealed other than that it's "coming soon."
As the site points out, Final Fantasy XV has seen collaborations with Assassin's Creed and Half-Life in recent months, mostly involving costumes for the FFXV characters to dress as. These are games that have already been released though. Shadow of the Tomb Raider - the third installment in Square Enix's rebooted franchise - was only just announced last month, with more information and a full reveal planned for April 27.
Not a whole lot is known about Shadow of the Tomb Raider except that fans can "experience Lara Croft's defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider," suggesting the game will revolve around her origin. It's set to release on September 14, 2018 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
What do you think this collaboration will be?
