There isn't a ton of information out there on BioWare's latest Mass Effect game. Today, BioWare opened up to GameInformer about some of the creative inspirations they've had in creating Mass Effect Andromeda. It is also noteworthy that Mac Walter, Creative Director at BioWare had this to say about Mass Effect Andromeda and Mass Effect 3 saying;
"We always meant for that trilogy (Mass Effect 1-3) to have a beginning and an end. I think it's fair to say that the ending didn't go the way we wanted, but ultimately it was an ending and that feels like it was a complete package. I think in the visioning for Andromeda, obviously there are many elements of the original trilogy that we want to hold on to, but at the same time so much of the magic for the first game came from the original game and imagining what can we do and anything is possible at that point." He continued " I wanted this team to have that amount of freedom."
This should come as good news to gamers and fans of the franchise. BioWare realized there were some amazing things about the first trilogy and they hope to harness that in Andromeda. Hopefully, at the same time, they will learn from the mistakes they made in the past too. Andromeda is already shaping up to be one heck of a game. Take a peak at some of the interviews below!
