The Mana series has been getting a lot of love recently, with the Collection of Mana compilation releasing last year, and Trials of Mana only two days away from finally becoming available, for the first time ever, here in the West.
Trials of Mana is more than just a simple port of the original Seiken Densetsu 3, as the developers have completely remade the game from the ground up, and have managed to keep all of the elements that have made the original game a timeless classic worthy of a proper remake.
Square Enix has recently revealed that the soon-to-be-released title will be getting a day one patch, which aims to fix some bugs, and is also adding three new dash methods (Normal, Constant, and Auto) that will allow players to adjust the way in which they want to traverse the game's open world.
This day one update will be automatically included on digital versions of Trials of Mana, but PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch owners who purchase a physical copy of the game will have to sit through the update before playing the game; either that, or simply not download the update and play without the additional features/bug fixes.
In a world on the brink of war, the power of mana suddenly starts to weaken… Step into the shoes of 6 unique heroes and rescue the world from the encroaching darkness in Trials of Mana, a full HD remake of the third entry in the seminal Mana series (Seiken Densetsu 3 in Japan), never before released in the West.
Trials of Mana will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on the 24th of April.
