Sega could be preparing a new installment of the Puyo Puyo puzzle game that would be oriented to online competition, both on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The Korean system of classification by ages has registered the name Puyo Puyo eSports associated to these two consoles and could signify the return of the puzzle saga after Puyo Puyo Tetris, a game that combined both classics in 2014 and that more recently was also launched in Switch , PS4 and PC.

If we go by the title, it seems that Sega would focus entirely on Puyo Puyo and it could have a version with multiple competitive modes oriented to online games or tournaments.

As soon as more information pops up, we will let you know.
