Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2018, FromSoftware has released a new trailer for their upcoming action-adventure game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The new trailer showcases the fast-paced action and brutal enemies you'll encounter in the game.

For anyone who has played Bloodborne or Dark Souls, the similarities in approach are definitely noticeable, although Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a few features that set it apart from FromSoftware's previous third-person, action-adventure games. As you'll see in the trailer, the core combat in Sekiro revolves around the sword, but you'll also be able to equip and switch between a variety of unique Prosthetic Tools used to take advantage of enemy weaknesses.

Additionally, Sekiro makes use of a new feature called "Resurrection," a strategy that allows you to resurrect on the spot, even after death. A welcomed change from games like Dark Souls which usually punish you for death, Resurrection adds a new layer of strategy as you can plan for a tactical retreat or deceive an enemy and go on the counter-offensive.

Set in the re-imagined world of late 1500s Sengoku Japan; a brutal, bloody period of constant life-and-death conflict, in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf,” a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launches March 22, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
