Did you know that a new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game is releasing in a little bit over a week from today? As a fan of the original games, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is pretty much all I have been able to think about these past few days, and I know I'm not alone in this.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is exactly what the name very appropriately suggests, the first two entries in the beloved skateboarding video game series, although this aren't simple ports of the original,s as both games have been built from the ground up with some enhanced graphics to keep everything looking clean.
If you were a fan of the games' phenomenal soundtracks, we have some great news, since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 isn't only bringing most of the songs from the first two games back, as it is also introducing a bunch of new bands to add a little bit of variety; not like it needs it, but this is definitely appreciated.
On top of this, there are also rumours doing the rounds that claim a Nintendo Switch version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is also in development, although neither Activision nor Vicarious Visions have officially confirmed this, but the prospect of having a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game on the Switch, and being able to take it everywhere we go, is definitely appealing, so we'll keep our fingers crossed for it to happen.
According to the the people over at Activision and Vicarious Visions, the following is a list of features that players will be greeted with once they finally get their hands on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2:
-Skate as the legendary Tony Hawk and the original pro roster, plus new pros
-Skate to songs from the era-defining soundtrack along with new music
-Hit insane trick combos with the iconic handling of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series
-Play all the original game modes and go head-to-head with local 2-Player modes
-Show off your style and creativity with upgraded Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater features
-Take your sessions online and compete against players from around the world in multiplayer modes and leaderboards
Now that we are a short week and away from the long-awaited release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, the developers have shared an exciting new trailer that shows off everything this new game has to offer; from enhanced versions of the classic stages to some of the new skaters that are joining the roster, and a headbanging tune by DZ Deathrays playing in the background for good measure.
