According to a recent report by
Comicbook.com,
Marvel's Avengers will include a "Photo Mode." For those unfamiliar with the mode, it typically allows you to freeze time and free-cam around your player-character in order to take a nifty screenshot. Other than the addition of filters, stickers, and camera-lense options; that's all there is to it.
A notable game to include this option was
Marvel's Spider-Man. That being Insomniac's superhero game which is rumoured to be connected to Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' afformentioned
Avengers project.
While
Marvel's Spider-Man included some of the best graphics that gaming has seen to this day, the visuals of
Marvel's Avengers are one of the game's most prevalent criticisms at the moment.
It's therefore interesting that Square and Crystal would choose to include a photo mode option - in which you'll be able to take an insanely up-close look at in-game objects. Perhaps this should be taken as a sign that the studios are confident that the graphics will have been infinitely improved come launch.
Marvel's Avengers is set to release on May 15th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.
