When EA and Respawn Entertainment shared the first piece of gameplay footage from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at E3 2019, it was largely met with a favorable response from gamers. However, even some of the most positive fans had a few criticisms.

Although it may not be integral to the gameplay, a number of viewers took issue with the appearance of Cal Kestis' lightsaber, as it had a solid blue hue rather than a white core as seen in the design of most lightsabers.

Fortunately, during a recent chat with Game Informer, director Stig Asmussen addressed this issue, revealing that it was indeed a mistake on their part and that they've responded to the feedback from fans

“We made a mistake on that one and since then we’ve fixed it,” Asmussen said. “That was very fair feedback, very fair criticism, and we’ve tweaked that. We’ve also tweaked the shape of the lightsaber blade a little bit as well, too. You can see the difference right away.”

Despite being a small change, altering the design of Cal's lightsaber just a few months ahead of the game's release is proof that Respawn is listening to the response from fans.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is scheduled to launch on November 15, 2019.
