Developed and published by Failbetter Games,
Sunless Sea is a survival game with exploration and roguelike elements that was originally released on Steam in Feburary of 2015. The game is now making its console debut as it gets an official announcement trailer for the PlayStation 4 in the form of
Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition.
In
Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition, players will find themselves choosing their ship, naming their captain, and sailing the Unterzee—where the light does not touch. Maps will change every time you play and each officer in the ship's crew has their own unique story.
Players will also have to look after their crew and keep hunger and terror at bay or they may end up going crazy and even experiment with cannibalism. Everything can happen in the depths of the Unterzee—a realm of sombre beauty where it's always night.
Due to its roguelike nature,
Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition offers players a non-linear experience in which they are calling the shots—especially when deciding where to go in the Unterzee. Will the characters survive? Will the crew pull through? Players build up their own story across generations.
