As we announced a few days ago, Yacht Club Games broke the silence and officially presented Shovel Knight Showdown, the new game that will become part of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and prepare the path for the next arrival of King of Cards. According to the description, Shovel Knight Showdown is an experience for 4 users in which they will be able to use their favorite Shovel Knight characters via local multiplayer. The new game has different modes and as users can face in 1v1 duels and frantic battles of 4, it will also be possible to enjoy the experience cooperatively fighting against the CPU.

At the same time, Shovel Knight Showdown will offer a new story mode with particular elements for each character. In that sense, each knight will have an important opponent to defeat, but before that it must defeat countless enemies, relax with 1 or 2 mini-games and proceed to the final battle. At the same time, Yacht Club reported that this new release will feature a new musical section, the work of Jake "Virt" Kaufman.
