Although in the past Edmund McMillen announced that The Binding of Isaac would no longer receive new content expansions, the creator also responsible for Super Meat Boy has taken advantage of PAX West 2018 to announce Repentance. "Definitely" the last expansion of his popular roguelike action game.
"It's official! The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is the LAST (really) DLC for Isaac," wrote the independent creative on social networks. "It will include the amazing Antibirth mod."
This mod expands the gaming experience with more than 4,000 new rooms, about 100 additional enemies, two characters with unique game styles and 16 new jefazos among lots of additional content.
Even without an official release date, McMillen hopes to have this new expansion ready in the coming months. It will be released on PC and consoles. Recently the creator also presented The Legend of Bum-Bo, a turn-based RPG set in the grotesque and chaotic world of Isaac.
