Remedy Entertainment is a well-known developer behind the Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break series. The studio is getting right on track to launch its next game sometime next year. Project 7 or P7 (it's just a working title) was discussed in Remedy’s recent 2017 financial statement, and the Finnish studio revealed that the goal is to launch the ambitious game in 2019.
“Our other game project, P7 that is being done with 505 Games S.p.A., proceeded from the pre-production phase to the production phase at the beginning of the period under review. The development of the game has progressed according to our plans. P7 is expected to be released during 2019," the statement reads. It will be the studio's first game released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Project 7 will be a cinematic third-person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe. A job listing from last November suggests that P7 may be an open-world online multiplayer game in the vein of Tom Clancy’s The Division. We should learn more about P7 at this year's E3.
