The Elder Scrolls: Legends, Bethesda's competitive strategy card-battling game set in
The Elder Scrolls universe, has effectively ended. The developer announced on the game's official subreddit that development on new content and future releases has been put
"on hold for the foreseeable future."
Unfortunately, this means that the planned card set that was on the April development roadmap will no longer release. This also likely means that the console release for the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch has been scrapped.
That said,
The Elder Scrolls: Legends will still be downloadable and playable on existing platforms with online competitive play and single-player modes available.
We will also continue to support the game with monthly reward cards and regular in-game events. New expansions and other future content, however, are no longer under active development. We will continue to provide ongoing maintenance support.
As a thank you to fans who have supported the game, Bethesda will be giving away The Tamriel Collection – an assortment of new, three-attribute cards and more – for free on your next login.
"We are immensely grateful to work on The Elder Scrolls: Legends, to have you as a community, and we sincerely appreciate the love and support you’ve given us," Bethesda wrote.
