Harnessing gravity defying physics alongside a bristling arsenal of outlandish weapons, developer Caged Element promises that it will deliver the fastest, most competitive racing experience ever with
GRIP. The racing game has been available in Steam Early Access for quite some time now, and the title will finally leave the program relatively soon, as
GRIP will finally launch on PC and consoles this fall.
GRIP's Steam latest version 1.2.5 features 8 vehicles, 6 Game modes: Classic Race, Elimination, Ultimate Race, Time Trial, Arena (Deathmatch) & Carkour, 10 Racetracks, 3 Arenas, 15 Carkour courses, 5 Weapons (Scorpion, Raptor, Ironfist, Hydra, Assassin), 4 Power-ups (Aegis, Firestorm, EMP, Ramraider), 2 Vehicle abilities (Launch, Boost), and 12 music tracks (including trance and techno).
At launch,
GRIP (it's one of those games that allows you to drive on walls or ceilings) will feature 19 challenging "Carkour" maps in which players are put to the test in a series of mind-bending stunt courses. Just like in Codemasters'
Onrush, to win the race is never enough, as the true greatness comes from the journey and the trail of merciless destruction you unleash upon your rivals along the way.
Take a look:
Inspired by the Rollcage games of 1999 and 2000, GRIP is a new IP for a new generation. A return to the hardcore combat racer, bristling with heavy weapons and packing ferocious speed, the game is an intense, sensory feast. Harnessing the awesome potential of Unreal Engine 4, GRIP will take you back to your nostalgic past, while simultaneously propelling you into a kick-ass future.
GRIP is coming coming Fall 2018 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
