World War Z was officially announced during The Game Awards 2017. The game is in development at Saber Interactive, the studio responsible for Inversion, Timeshift and Quake Champions. World War Z is coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One and will be a four-player cooperative action game focusing on survivor stories and missions around the globe from Moscow to New York.

Saber will try to capture the source material's energy in a fast-paced and gruesome experience, filled with heavy-hitting weapons and useful explosives. World will also give you a chance to make tactical use of traps, barriers and the environment to slow down the relentless hordes of the undead, and even team up with 3 of your friends to stay alive by unleashing a storm of firepower from all directions.

The game was showcased during E3 2018 and some happy participants had a chance to check out the latest build of World War Z. Basing on the raw footage, the game can be surely described as a third-person version of Valve's Left 4 Dead, just with some modernized graphics designs. Saber Interactive's World War Z is currently expected to be ready for a release sometime this year. Take a look:

From Moscow to Jerusalem to New York, World War Z’s action-packed co-op campaign delivers unique survivor stories and missions around the world.
