Sea of Thieves, Rare's pirate multiplayer game for Xbox One and Windows 10, has been updated by adding important new features to barrels and cannonballs, but a bug has also been incorporated that is revolutionizing the game: spyglasses showing up on the genitals.
In the Sea of Thieves subreddit (via Eurogamer), many players are posting screenshots of this error, which appears randomly when a player takes out his spyglass.
As user Slasharasen explains on Reddit: "We just took out our telescopes and the kids really got excited."
In addition to this bug that is causing uproar in forums, social networks and Twitch, the title adds two important changes that will significantly affect the fighting between players and the difficulty of the game.
Now cursed cannon balls will appear in the barrels, which will affect both the enemy ships and the players who are attacked by them. This new ammunition has effects such as creating explosions or making the entire enemy crew get drunk, causing their vision to become distorted and vomiting.
The other big change is that the barrels can now store different types of objects. Until now, having had several squabbles with other crews, it was common to run out of resources: there were no planks to cover holes, or bananas to cure the crew.
If you went to an island in search of resources, you could find that the barrels of the place did not have the resources you needed. Now, the same barrel can contain bananas, planks, cannon balls and cursed cannonballs, making recovery much easier after one or more bouts.
In addition to these developments, the patch adds a candle that shows your position to the other players on your map, new weapons, new titles of Bilge Rats and 16 new missions against cursed crews.
Even though the Cursed Sails expansion is over, the cursed boats controlled by PvE will still be present in the game world.
Sea of Thieves is a new type of multiplayer game that delivers all you need to live the free-roaming pirate life. Whether adventuring as a group or sailing solo, you'll encounter other crews... but will they be friends or foes, and how will you respond?
Sea of Thieves is available for the Xbox One and PC.
