Castaway Paradise is a game inspired by Nintendo's very own
Animal Crossing, and it seems to be coming at the perfect time given that
The Big N didn't show a new
Animal Crossing during this year's E3.
In
Castaway Paradise players find themselves washed up on a tropical island and it's up to them to build a proper town from the ground up. In the same vein as
Animal Crossing, players will be able to explore the island and do all sorts of activities while building their town.
Players will have to grow their own crops, rake the ground, plant some seeds and water them. If crops are not your forte you can always do other activities like catching bugs, go fishing, make a bigger catch than your friends and complete your collections.
Castaway Paradise also gives players a huge variety of outfits to fully customise their characters and reflect their own personalities. These outfits go from hats to dresses, shoes, and a combination of whatever clothing piece players want to give their characters.
Like
Animal Crossing,
Castaway Paradise also features weather/seasonal changes and these can devastate the player's hard work, so they will have to restore everything that was destroyed. But seasonal changes aren't always a bad thing given that special events and holidays will occur depending on the season player's are in—Halloween and Christmas happening in Autumn and Winter, respectively, and so on.

Washed up on an idyllic tropical island, you are free to explore, go fishing, plant a garden, decorate your house, dress up with hundreds of different items, and more!
Castaway Paradise will be available for iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam on the 31st of July.
