Sony's Big Screen Adaptation Of UNCHARTED No Longer Has A Release Date

It was to be expected, but the long delayed big screen adaptation of PlayStation's Uncharted franchise has now lost its release date despite recently gaining a writer in Joe Carnahan...

It was recently revealed that Joe Carnahan is the latest writer to take a crack at the screenplay for Uncharted. The filmmaker said at the time that he would like to direct the movie, but that that wouldn't happen unless Sony Pictures changed the release date due to his commitments to the next instalment of the Bad Boys franchise. Could the studio have removed it from their schedule for that very reason? Who knows, but as you can see below, Uncharted no longer has a release date.

With Carnahan currently working on the screenplay, it makes sense that it wouldn't be able to find a cast and director and start production in order to meet a release date as soon as next June.

It's obviously a little concerning that a new release date hasn't been set, but here's hoping we get some positive updates as the year goes on. If nothing else, we know that the movie is still happening!
