Sonic Mania Plus is the newest entry in the
Sonic series by Sega. The game finally released for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC a couple of days ago—with a physical copy for people that didn't own
Sonic Mania, or as a free DLC in the form of Encore Mode.
As one of the best rated
Sonic games in the last 15 years,
Sonic Mania was bound to get a physical copy at one point, especially because it was one of the fans' demands—and Sega is all about pleasing their fans, especially the developer team behind
Sonic Mania.
Today we get the second episode in the Developers Diary mini series, this time focusing on the reason behind the team wanting to make a special edition of
Sonic Mania. The developers are also showing off the game box, as well as those reversible covers inspired after the original Sega Genesis/Mega Drive covers from the 90s. As if that wasn't enough, the developers also show off the new feature that lets players cycle through all 5 playable characters while playing the levels.
