At this point it is more than fair to say that Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a complete, and massive hit. The game has already broken records in the United Kingdom as the fastest-selling single Nintendo game, and it is also Japan's biggest Nintendo Switch launch ever.
As if that wasn't enough, it has also been revealed that the latest entry in the popular Animal Crossing series also managed to have a better launch than any of the titles in the Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda series since the mid 1990s.
Considering that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is estimated to have sold a staggering 5 million digital copies in March alone, this is actually to be expected from the relatively recently relesed title.
As it turns out, the game is also dwarfing its competition when it comes to ad campaigns in the United States, as new information revealed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been Nintendo's priority in terms of ad campaign.
As revealed by VentureBeat and iSpotTV, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has surpassed an impressive 713 million impressions in TV ads generated by 20 spots that are reported to have aired over 3,400 times.
The study also reveals that the most-watched ad on TV is "Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Your Personal Island Paradise" — which we have posted down below for you to watch —with over 120 million impressions.
For those of you wondering, and also to illustrate the big difference between the first and second places, Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake sits at number 2 with two TV spots that generated 171.2 million impressions; with "A Touching Reunion" being the most-seen ad with a very respectable 101.1 million impressions.
