The newest installment in Nintendo's adorable Animal Crossing franchise was originally slated for release on November 22nd, just in time for Thanksgiving. It looks like Nintendo is determined to take advantage of the holiday traffic and have decided to release the game a day ahead of schedule.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp follows in the footsteps of Pokemon Go and Super Mario Run. Pocket Camp follows very similar beats to the console and handheld iterations of the series with the exception of the summer camp setting. You complete favours for villagers, make animal friends, and earn bells to buy clothes and decor for your custom campsite. The game also contains a somewhat social aspect as you can add other players and visit their campsites.
The game is free to play, however there are microtransactions included, leaf tickets, which are used to buy more bells to craft items for your campsite as well as speeding up the crafting process. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is now available to download on the App Store and Google Play.
