Nintendo and Game Freak had been teasing, for quite a while now, that they would be revealing a brand-new Pokémon for the highly anticipated
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield; having fans speculating if it would be a variation of an existing Pokémon or a new one altogether.
Today the developers have finally released a trailer that introduces us to Sirfetch'd, a variation of the original Farfetch'd Pokémon, which can only be found in the newly introduced Galar region; a region heavily based on the United Kingdom.
Unlike Farfetch'd, who is a Flying type Pokémon, Sirfetch'd is a Fighting type Pokémon that holds a sword and hield(oddly, and yet charmingly appropriate) and its ability is Steadfast — which seems to be a charging move that violently attacks opponents in classic Jousting fashion.
It is also worth mentioning that Sirfetch'd is a
Pokémon Sword exclusive Pokémon that will not show up in
Pokémon Shield.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be set in Galar, an expansive region with many environments—idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. The people and Pokémon live together in this region, and they’ve worked together to develop the industries here.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 15th of November.
