Nintendo have had an incredible nine months following the launch of the Switch,
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild won game of the year at the game awards, and the Switch has gained a plethora of third party support. Capcom have now announced their intentions to further support the switch by bringing a number of new titles to the console.
In an interview with the Japanese Financial Paper, The Nekkei, Capcom CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto expressed that the home and portable aspect of the console had turned out better than expected. Tsujimoto went on to say that he wants to port games to the Switch that were not available on previous Nintendo consoles. Capcom have already had a lot of success with the Switch following the Resident Evil: Revelations collection, and have announced a 30 year anniversary Street Fighter collection which is due for release next year.
The Switch has recieved no shortage of third party support following ports of
Skyrim and
LA Noire and now
Square Enix have expressed renewed interest in the switch. The publisher announced it's intentions to bring older titles to the attention of the Switch's younger demographic. This could range from anything from classic Final Fantasy titles and Dragon Quest. It's an exciting time to be a Switch owner and in what has been an amazing success story for Nintendo.
