Marvelous Entertainment revealed, just a few weeks ago, that
Daemon X Machina — their brand-new mecha action title released for the Nintendo Switch — would be getting an update that would be adding a Versus mode to the game.
Today,
Daemon X Machina finally got the update version 1.1.1, which has added both "1-on-1" and "2-on-2" battle modes that allow players to engage in mech duels with their friends either locally via a wireless connection or online.
During Co-op mode, players can even challenge other players by attacking them in the game; with the dual beginning when the attacked player attacks them back.
According to the information shared on
Nintendo's website, players can partake in Ranked matches — where players compete with set rules and they climb ranks in the global leaderboards — and Custom matches with their own set of rules.
When the moon tore apart, the sky bled red with light, ushering in an apocalyptic new age…and to survive, you must fight. As a mercenary, defend Earth through high-speed combat against corrupted robots in a series of missions from the cockpit of your Arsenal, a fully customizable mech. Equip your Arsenal with a vast array of parts and weapons, obtain more from downed enemy Arsenals, and swap them on the fly to suit your strategy in the face of ever-rising threats.
Daemon X Machina is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
