Nintendo has announced the files sizes for some of the games that can be downloaded digitally at the Nintendo Switch's launch. For those thinking of buying the console and downloading games, you will need a external harddrive.

While most games will be able to fit in the internal storage, some will take up half or more of the consoles 32 GB storage. Games like Dragon Quest will require gamers to purchase an external storage just to play the game. Check out other games files and our take below!

Take a peak at list of games and their file sizes below.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 13.4 GB
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 8.00 GB
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris - 1.09 GB
  • Disgaea 5 - 5.92 GB
  • Snipperclips - 1.60 GB
  • I Am Setsuna - 1.40 GB
  • Dragon Quest Heroes I & II - 32.00 GB
  • Nobunaga's Ambition - 5.00 GB

Nintendo also announced in recent months that players will be able to expand the Nintendo Switch's storage capacity with SDXC cards. These SDXC cards will go all the way up to 2TB of storage. The largest card currently available is 512 GB. The downside to the cards are their high price tag. The 512 GB card currently has a price tag of $200.

Our take:  With game downloads becoming the norm of gamers, it is kinda hard to believe that Nintendo would go with a 32 GB internal harddrive. Everyone at Gamefragger prefer digital downloads in comparison to buying a disk version. When one game alone would take up 110% of your drive is kind of ridiculous. Other SD cards have more capacity, but it isn't worth having multiple cards to hold your games. Hopefully the price tag of the SDXC cards drop to accomidate Switch players.
