The game's plot sees Donkey Kong, who was originally a villain, return to his mischievous ways by stealing Mini Mario clockwork toys from a local factory after discovering they are sold out at a nearby toy store. Mario must chase and reclaim the stolen Mini Marios from Donkey Kong.

The game's style is reminiscent of earlier arcade-style games, but with the added unique design of Donkey Kong. The remake of the game will be launching on the Nintendo Switch system on February 16, 2024. Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a classic puzzle-platform game developed by Nintendo Software Technology. It was originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004 and is considered the successor to the 1994 Game Boy game Donkey Kong.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong will be launching on the Nintendo Switch system February 16, 2024.
