Fans of Nintendo's critically acclaimed Metroid series have been waiting for a sequel to the insanely popular Metroid Prime series pretty much since the latest entry in the First-Person Shooter series, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, was released for the Nintendo Wii in 2007.
Metroid Prime 4 is currently being developed by Retro Studios, although this wasn't always the case — since Retro Studios was actually the developer that took over the project; a project that may not have agreed with the vision that Nintendo itself had for the Metroid Prime series.
The announcement that revealed Retro Studios was coming back to work on Metroid Prime 4 also came with some sour news, since Nintendo revealed that the game was being delayed indefinitely; the wise decision to make, considering that Retro Studios was brought back to start working on Metroid Prime 4 from scratch.
Today we have some news in regards to Metroid Prime 4, as Retro Studios has recently hired New Super Lucky's Tale Designer Mark Capers, from developer Playful, as well as James Beech — who has worked on titles like Crysis 3, DC Universe Online, and Darksiders 3; to name only but a few.
As reported by Video Games Chronicle, both Capers and Beech were hired by Retro Studios as environment designers — although more information about Metroid Prime 4 was not really provided. With all that said, this is still great news, as this reveals that the project is definitely moving forward.
