GameFreak and Nintendo's upcoming
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield are just around the corner, becoming available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the
15th of November. While technically the Nintendo Switch is a handheld console, this is actually the first core series title to release on a home console; making it even more special.
Nintendo has already shared quite a bunch of information regarding the new Pokémon that players will find in the game, as well as new transformations, locations, and other interesting details that will offer players a fresh, albeit familiar experience.
Today, however, Nintendo has released a different trailer for
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield, which pays tribute to all of the previous generations of
Pokémon titles; further proving that pretty much every generation of Pokémon will be present in the new games.
Leave it to Nintendo to make players who have grown up playing
Pokémon games feel excited, almost completely out of sheer nostalgia, with a charming trailer about a brand-new entry; twenty plus years since the first game released for the Game Boy.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be set in Galar, an expansive region with many environments—idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. The people and Pokémon live together in this region, and they’ve worked together to develop the industries here.
