HALO Twitter Account Would Really Like To See Master Chief Is SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE
Microsoft and Nintendo have been playing nice as of late, leading to the speculation that Master Chief could join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – and the official Halo account would really like to see that...
Considering that Microsoft is working on a new level of Xbox Live support for Nintendo Switch and is planning to bring their "original" games (such as Cuphead and Ori and the Blind Forest) to the console, there's no denying that Microsoft and Nintendo have recently been collaborating closer than ever.
While many fans have been hoping to see some brand-new heroes in the Nintendo Switch-exclusive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, hardly anyone would expect that Master Chief himself could join the acclaimed game's ever-expanding roster of playable characters. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, the official Twitter account of the Halo series would seemingly really like this to happen.
Answering Twitter Gaming's question regarding new characters in Smash, Halo responded with a gif from the announcement trailer for Halo: Infinite, featuring Chief holding his iconic helmet in his hand.
While seeing Master Chief in Smash would definitely make many fans of both series more than happy, it's highly unlikely that Chief would join the Nintendo game's roster anytime soon. As a reminder, Joker from Atlus' Persona 5, will be joining the fighting title at some point near the end of April. Take a look:
Legendary game worlds and fighters collide in the ultimate showdown—a new entry in the Super Smash Bros. series for the Nintendo Switch system! New fighters, like Inkling from the Splatoon series and Ridley from the Metroid series, make their Super Smash Bros. series debut alongside every Super Smash Bros. fighter in the series…EVER!
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
