While many fans have been hoping to see some brand-new heroes in the Nintendo Switch-exclusive
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, hardly anyone would expect that Master Chief himself could join the acclaimed game's ever-expanding roster of playable characters. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, the official Twitter account of the
Halo series would seemingly really like this to happen.
Answering Twitter Gaming's question regarding new characters in
Smash,
Halo responded with a gif from the announcement trailer for
Halo: Infinite, featuring Chief holding his iconic helmet in his hand.
While seeing Master Chief in
Smash would definitely make many fans of both series more than happy, it's highly unlikely that Chief would join the Nintendo game's roster anytime soon. As a reminder, Joker from Atlus'
Persona 5, will be joining the fighting title at some point near the end of April. Take a look:
