Nintendo Switch Lite has been announced and it's set to be released on September 20th,2019 and will go for only $200. The device is $99.9 cheaper than the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo Switch lite will include features like a 5.5-inch screen that displays at a resolution of 720p. Lite will not be able to support connect to TVs via USB-C and HDMI and will be a mini-version device. They have not tampered with the headphone port which is still there but the Bluetooth headset support has not been added, sadly and the button layout is largely unchanged. However, the Switch Lite no longer has detachable Joy-Con controllers.
The device will be released in 3 colors; turquoise, grey and yellow as displayed below.
Nintendo have also re-assured that the Switch Lite will last
approximately 3-7 hours which is 30 minutes longer than the original. They have also announced that a special-edition version coming to the US on November 8th,
The Switch Lite Zacian and
Zamazenta Edition is decorated with cyan and magenta buttons, with illustrations of the two new Legendary Pokémon across the back.
