Classic board style party game by Nintendo,
Super Mario Party, is making its way into the Nintendo Switch on the
5th of October. The game was revealed during this year's E3 and it looks like it will be making good use of the Joy-Con controllers.
Mario Party games have always featured some very creative, and fun, minigames that not only challenge the player, but also puts their friendships to the test.
Super Mario Party will not be the exception but what sets this new game apart from the previous titles in the series is the innovative ways the Joy-Con controllers will be used.
The first trailer for
Super Mario Party showed us different ways to play specific minigames, some games even used two Nintendo Switch devices as one screen, offering players a very interesting way to play these games.
Today, we are treated to a new gameplay video for
Super Mario Party, in which the Nintendo Treehouse crew shows off the River Survival Mode, as well as some of the minigames players can expect to find in it.
The interesting thing about River Survival Mode is that all four players will be put on a raft, each holding their own paddle and they have to control this raft by moving the Joy-Con controller in a way that simulates rowing—once they run into one of the minigame balloons it's every player for themselves.
