During Nintendo's most recent Direct presentation, it was revealed that
Luigi's Mansion 3 will include competitive multiplayer modes — such as ScareScraper and ScreamPark. At the time, it seemed that these modes weren't very significant in the grand scheme of things but it turns out that there might be more to them that initially suspected.
A recent update was made to the upcoming sequel's official website. After the pre-order information and synopses, the very last thing listed on the page states that paid downloadable-content will be released for
Luigi's Mansion 3 after the game's launch. It specifically makes mention that the paid DLC will add more multiplayer content.
"Paid DLC will come to Luigi's Mansion 3 in the future, adding new content to the ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes," reads a the features section of the official page.
You can head over to the official website of Luigi's Mansion 3 to check out the addition for yourself. While more content is always appreciated, the fact that it had to be paid for is a little dubious. What the paid content could be hasn't been revealed just yet but will likely more gamemodes and minigames.
