Nintendo and Camelot Software's
Mario Tennis Aces was released last week for the Nintendo Switch and it has been selling remarkably well. In fact, the game even managed to move over
FIFA 18 and
God of War to
take the number 1 spot on the UK Charts.
Today, Nintendo has revealed that they will be releasing three more characters for players that participate in the
Mario Tennis Aces Online Tournaments. Nintendo has already announced that Koopa Troopa and Blooper are joining the roster via the same Online Tournaments. Players who participate in the first tournament—starting on the
1st of July until the
31st of July—will get Koopa Troopa, while the second tournament will take place in August and will award players with Blooper.
The three new characters that Nintendo will add to
Mario Tennis Aces are Diddy Kong, Koopa Paratroopa, and Birdo. While these characters will be available as early access for players that participate in the Online Tournaments, they will eventually become available for all players as a free DLC.
It is still not known whether these 3 new playable characters will be given to players who participate in the
July and
August tournaments or if they will be coming out in later tournaments, as Nintendo has yet to share more information on the topic.
