Since
Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch was released back in June, Nintendo has been constantly releasing new updates, more in particular new playable characters that players can get for free by either participating in Online Tournaments, which grants them access to these characters earlier, or by simply waiting a bit longer until these become available for everyone.
Besides getting a lot of new playable characters as of late, however,
Mario Tennis Aces has also been getting quite the few updates that have slowly been making the experience for players a whole lot better than when the game initially released; and the latest updates is bringing quite a bunch of additions that players will much likely appreciate.
The
Mario Tennis Aces version 2.1.0 will be releasing on the 30th of November, and it will be making changes to the Online Tournament by adding ranks based on the player's rating; making the experience far more forgiving for newcomers as these will likely be matched together.
This new update is also adding Double Class to Online Tournament, which will allow for 2v2 matches. Players can team up by sharing one Switch console, with a friend online, or simply by matchmaking with similarly skilled players online.
Perhaps the most interesting addition to
Mario Tennis Aces is the Yoshi's Ring Shot Co-op Challenge, which will be available on the 1st of December until the 1st of January at 9:00AM. This mode is played with standard rules and a four-player team, that can be formed by teaming up with friends locally or online. Players who have successfully completed the challenge will be given a Yoshi of a different colour.
The
Mario Tennis Aces 2.1.0 free update is also making some changes to Character Abilities, as well as fixing some minor bugs, and including additional settings. For the full list of changes that this version will be making to the game,
