Octopath Traveler is Square Enix's newest role-playing IP, released exclusively for the Nintendo back in July of this year. The game is a love letter to fans of the JRPG genre from the 16-Bit era, and it delivers in every possible way; making it a fan-favourite amongst fans of the genre, as well as fans of Nintendo's handheld hybrid console.
The classic-looking JRPG takes us back to the Super Nintendo era with its charming 2D sprites in a 2.5D world, tight controls, satisfying and rewarding combat, and the fantastic soundtrack by composer Yasunori Nishiki.
Today, we have great news for fans of the brilliant
Octopath Traveler, as Square Enix has officially announced that they will be releasing a rearranged version of the game's fantastic soundtrack, which is titled "Arrangements - Break & Boost".
This rearranged release will include 12 tracks composed by Yasunori Nishiki, and will be available on the
20th of February in 2019. Keep in mind that this has been announced for Japan and no details about a release for Western countries have been revealed; although it is likely that it will come out at some point, as well, given the underwhelmingly positive reception that
Octopath Traveler has had outside of Japan.
Eight travelers. Eight adventures. Eight roles to play in a new world brought to life by Square Enix. Explore each traveler’s story and use their abilities in and out of battle. Will you expand your horizons as the Merchant or track down a traitor as the Warrior? Where will you go? Who will join you? You alone can choose your path.
Octopath Traveler is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
