With over 70 playable characters and even more yet-to-be-announced as Downloadable Content,
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is gearing up to becoming the ultimate
Super Smash Bros. experience when the game releases for the Nintendo Switch on the
7th of December.
It isn't just the huge amount of playable characters that has players excited for this new entry in Nintendo's party/fighting game, but also the number of stages that are making a comeback—as well as some new stages made specifically for this game—and a staggering amount of music tracks from the series present in
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; which amounts to approximately 900 tracks and 28 hours of uninterrupted music.
With that many music pieces being featured in
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate one would think that every series will be getting quite a bunch of tunes to select for the matches. It turns out that this may not be the case, at least not for Square Enix's iconic
Final Fantasy series.
A new report suggests that Square Enix's Final Fantasy will only be getting two music tracks; both of which are tunes from Final Fantasy VII. These music pieces are the exact same tracks that were featured in
Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS; the games in which
Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife was introduced as a fighter.
It is yet unknown if there's another way to unlock some more
Final Fantasy tracks in the game but, as of now, it seems that's all fans will be getting when
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches.
Legendary game worlds and fighters collide in the ultimate showdown—a new entry in the Super Smash Bros. series for the Nintendo Switch system! New fighters, like Inkling from the Splatoon series and Ridley from the Metroid series, make their Super Smash Bros. series debut alongside every Super Smash Bros. fighter in the series…EVER!
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 7th of December.
