AMNESIA: COLLECTION Brings The Two Classic Horror Games To The Nintendo Switch

Both Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs are now available the purchase for the Nintendo Switch as the Amnesia: Collection — which also includes an expansion for the first game.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent released back in 2010 and is hailed as one of the best horror games of all time. In 2013, came a follow-up by the name of Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs. Now, both of the classic horror games are available on the Nintendo Switch.

In November of last year, Frictional Games made it clear that they'd love to bring their iconic horror games to the Switch and it their wish has now come true. Both of the titles come bundled together as the Amnesia: Collection — which costs $30 from the Nintendo Store. Additionally, the Amnesia: Justine expansion for the first of the two games is included.

Oddly, this port wasn't announced or teased prior to its arrival on the Switch. For some reason, it wasn't included in Nintendo's latest Direct presentation which only debuted a couple of days ago.

Alongside the quiet launch of the collection, Frictional Games released a brand new trailer for Amnesia: Collection that you can check it out below — along with official synopses for each of the games.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent: Amnesia: The Dark Descent puts you in the shoes of Daniel as he wakes up in a desolate castle, barely remembering anything about his past. Exploring the eerie pathways, you must also take part of Daniel's troubled memories. The horror does not only come from the outside, but from the inside as well. A disturbing odyssey into the dark corners of the human mind awaits. A sound of dragging feet? Or is your mind playing tricks on you?

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs: The year is 1899, Wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus awakes in his bed, wracked with fever and haunted by dreams of a dark and hellish engine. Tortured by visions of a disastrous expedition to Mexico, broken on the failing dreams of an industrial utopia, wracked with guilt and tropical disease, he wakes into a nightmare. The house is silent, the ground beneath him shaking at the will of some infernal machine: all he knows is that his children are in grave peril, and it is up to him to save them.
