Mario Tennis Aces is still getting more characters to join the roster, this time is Birdo's time to shine in new character trailer released by Nintendo.

Birdo was initially introduced in the North American version of Super Mario Bros. 2, released on the NES in 1988, as one of the game's first enemies. Since then, Birdo has been a recurring character in several spin-off titles like the Mario Kart and Mario Tennis series.

Nintendo announced that five new characters would be making their way into Mario Tennis Aces, these being Donkey Kong Country's Diddy Kong, as well as Birdo, Shy Guy, Petey Piranha, and Koopa Paratroopa from the Super Mario series.

Each of these announced characters will be released at different dates and Birdo will officially become available for all players on the 1st of November. Players who participate in this month's Mario Tennis Aces Online Tournament will be able to get the character on the 1st of October.
