Last week's trailer for Battlefield 6 gave us our first look at the ultimate all-out warfare experience, but I don't think anyone is quite prepared for what today's trailer unleashed.
The official multiplayer trailer for Battlefield 6 was revealed today, offering fans our best look yet at the game's explosive gameplay. The blockbuster event also provided a first look at new and returning multiplayer modes, the epic Singel Player campaign, and the all-new Battlefield Portal.
Wage all-out war with infantry and vehicle combat, class-based squad play, and cutting-edge audiovisual immersion. Where Fighter Jets, Tanks, skydiving RPGS, Heavy Artillery, and high-intensity infantry combat become one. Demolish your surroundings for a strategic advantage with Tactical Destruction. Turn your vehicle into a wrecking ball, bury a squad under a ceiling, or create new paths to victory. Battlefield’s new Kinesthetic Combat System makes you more connected to your soldier and environment than ever before. With overhauled gunplay and tactical movement, from crouch sprint to drag and revive, every shot and movement is more instinctual and precise.
At the core of Battlefield 6's gameplay is the all-new Kinesthetic Combat System, "which brings enhancements to movement and gunplay." The gameplay trailer shows off this unprecedented level of mobility with tactical options such as Drag and Revive and moutning weapons on walls to reduce recoil.
Additionally, Battlfield 6 sees the returno f the iconic class systems. Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer are the four main roles, each offering a specific use on the battlefield. "The four roles have been enhanced, designed to empower players to push their team towards victory, each with class-specific gadgets, signature weapons and dedicated training," EA explained.
And, of course, there's full-fledged destruction. And lots of it. Destruction isn't just about creating environmental set pieces; it can actually transform the combat zone, creating new paths to help flank the enemies. There's no shortage of destruction in the trailer, but one moment that stuck out in particular was when a player with an ax actually chops through the floor, exposing enemies below.
Battlefield 6 offers true global warfare with mutiplayer maps that willt ake players from Egypt to New York. Each map features combat zones crafted for specific modes. Additionally, some fan-favorite multiplayer modes also return, including Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush. Some of the faster-paced offerings include Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, and King of the Hill. There will also be a new game mode, Escalation, that follows two teams as they fight to capture strategic control points.
Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Today's multiplayer event also confirmed plans for the largest Open Beta ever in the history of the franchise.
The first open beta weekend officialy runs from August 9th through August 10th; however, fans have a chance to join two days early on August 7th by watching their favorite streamers play the game. A second open beta weekend will run from August 14th through August 17th.
