Super Mario Odyssey is one of Nintendo's best games ever made, not to mention one of the best titles in the
Super Mario franchise—both 2D and 3D games, mind you.
Upon its release, the game was met with nothing but great reviews, praising gameplay mechanics, graphics, soundtrack, and overall game design—which, to be fair, are almost always a given when it comes to Nintendo games.
In fact,
Super Mario Odyssey was even considered a strong contender for last year's Game of the Year, losing out to Nintendo's very own
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It goes to show that Nintendo does know how to make players have fun with their games. Sometimes, even, players find other ways to have fun in ways that the developers didn't even intend.
Such is the case of YouTube user
SKELUX, who has recently uploaded a video to his channel having fun with a stack of Goombas. In
Super Mario Odyssey, the core mechanic is that mario can possess other creatures he encounters, each giving Mario different abilities. By possessing one Goomba, Mario can jump on top of another Goomba and keep stacking them up. Without hacking the game,
Super Mario Odyssey never allows for more than 30 Goombas to be stacked, which can only be done in the Darker Side of the Moon level.
This YouTuber managed to stack over 200 Goombas by tampering a little bit with the game, finding out that adding any more 200 Goombas would make the Nintendo Switch crash. Then he does what everyone would do after managing to stack over 200 Goombas...ground-pounding them, which results in one of the most satisfying things you'll ever see today.
Take a look:
Use amazing new abilities—like the power to capture and control objects, animals, and enemies—to collect Power Moons so you can power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach from Bowser's wedding plans!
Super Mario Odyssey is available for the Nintendo Switch.
