Microsoft may be bringing more of its blockbuster Xbox titles to the Nintendo Switch, according to a new rumor. Video game insider eXtas1s recently posted a video about upcoming games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 and in it, they speculate that six games will be coming to the Switch 2.
Among the games listed, Fallout 4 and Starfield are the two we've yet to hear about. The other four are Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Diablo 4, and an unspecified Call of Duty game.
Earlier this month, prior to the Switch 2's announcement, it was reported that both Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be coming to the new Nintendo console as well as PlayStation 5. There have also been rumors of Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition making the jump to PlayStation 5, although we don't know if they will also come to the Switch 2.
The Switch 2, which was officially announced this month, is said to be more powerful than the current Switch model, although Nintendo has yet to reveal full hardware details. A special Switch 2-focused Nintendo Direct is coming in April, which should give us a better sense of how powerful the console will be.
We've also yet to hear anything official regarding the Switch 2's launch lineup. Nintendo did seem to showcase a new Mario Kart game through the announcement trailer, but no title or details were shared. Beyond that, all we really know about the Switch 2 is that it's larger than the current Nintendo Switch and that it will be backward compatible with most games.
As for Xbox titles coming to the Switch 2, well, despite the lack of official announcements, it's clear that Microsoft wants to bring its games to as many people as possible — even if that means releasing them on rival consoles. In fact, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has previously suggested that any Xbox game could come to PS5. One would assume this would also apply to the Nintendo Switch 2, assuming it's capable of handling them.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, one of Microsot's more recent Xbox exclusives, is arriving on PS5 in Spring 2025. That's perhaps another game that could come to the Switch 2, although nothing official has been announced and we haven't heard any rumors about that. Regardless, it's clear now that the Switch 2 will likely play a number of Xbox titles when it does release.
