Back in April of this year, Arc System Works revealed that they were working on a
Nintendo Switch port for Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R; sadly, that was the last time we heard about the project until just recently.
According to new information posted on one of Arc System Works' Twitter accounts,
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R for the Nintendo Switch was expected to release at some point this year, but it has now officially been delayed and will not be seeing the light of day until 2019.
With the announcement that
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R for the Nintendo Switch was delayed, Arc System Works also apologised for not delivering the title this year, but ask fans to keep looking forward to more announcements about the project.
While this is disappointing news for fans of the
Guilty Gear series, it is still great to know that the game hasn't been cancelled.
Guilty Gear is one of the best fighting game series out there, and having
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R on the Nintendo Switch is definitely great for players who want to take the fighting on-the-go; hopefully paving the way for more releases like
Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 making its way into Nintendo's handheld console, or even a future
Xrd Rev 3.
