Doom 2: Hell on Earth is the sequel to the highly acclaimed first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by GT Interactive back in 1993 for the PC.
Much like its prequel,
Doom 2 is also a game in which the character's main goal is to simply slay demons. The sequel, though, doesn't have The Slayer killing demons on Mars, but on Earth instead—although the game's setting remains pretty much unchanged, looks-wise.
Yesterday, co-founder of id Software, as well as
Doom and
Doom 2: Hell on Earth's game designer and programmer, John Romero, posted a tweet on his verified account saying that the final secret in
Doom 2 had been discovered after 24 years.
The secret itself was that there was a teleporter on Map 15(Industrial Zone) that was marked as a discoverable secret but didn't teleport players anywhere; the only way to activate it was to be pushed by an enemy.
Zero Master, which is the runner that made the discovery, used a Pain Elemental in order to be pushed into the teleport and was able to truly 100% the level.
